How do I set up my tea maker for the first time?

SAKI Team

Here is how to get your SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro ready for action.

Method 1: The Initial Wash

Before heating anything up, you want to remove any dust from manufacturing or shipping.

1. Wash the removable parts.

Take the Upper Teapot, the Universal Lid, and the Magnetic Removable Filter to the sink. Wash them gently with warm water and mild dish soap.

  • Note: The Lower Kettle contains electrical connectors on the bottom. Do not submerge it in the sink. Instead, wipe the inside with a soapy sponge and rinse it carefully without getting the bottom pins wet.

2. Rinse thoroughly.

Make sure no soap bubbles remain, especially in the fine mesh of the filter.

3. Dry the exterior.

Wipe down the outside of the kettle and the electrical base to ensure everything is dry before you plug it in.

Method 2: Installing the Magnetic Filter

This is the coolest part of the setup.

1. Open the Teapot.

Take the lid off the Upper Teapot.

2. Drop and Click.

Place the Magnetic Removable Filter into the teapot. You don't need to struggle with hooks or clips.

  • The Action: Simply guide it to the center. You will feel the magnets "grab" and click the filter securely into place at the bottom.
  • Why check this now? Ensuring it is seated correctly means no loose tea leaves will escape into your brew later.

Method 3: The "Sterilization" Boil

We recommend running one full cycle with just water (no tea leaves) to sterilize the system.

1. Fill the Lower Kettle.

Fill the bottom water boiler with fresh water up to the "MAX" line (1.75L).

2. Stack them up.

Place the Lower Kettle on the Power Base. Place the empty Upper Teapot on top of the kettle (this helps you get used to the stacking stability).

3. Power On.

  • Plug in the base.
  • Flip the Power Switch (usually located on the handle or the base) down to start the boiling process.
  • The Light: You should see a Red Light, indicating the water is heating.

4. Watch the Auto-Switch.

Once the water boils, the machine will automatically click over to "Keep Warm" mode (the light will turn Blue or Green). This confirms the thermostat is working perfectly.

5. Discard.

Pour out the boiled water into the sink.

Your SAKI Turkish Tea Maker is now clean, calibrated, and ready for its first brew!
