If your SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro is not powering on or the LCD screen remains blank when placed on the base, it is usually due to a connection issue or a safety reset trigger.

Follow these steps to inspect the power base and restore power:

1. Inspect the Base and Kettle Connectors

The most common cause is a poor connection between the kettle and the base.

  • Dry the Connectors: Ensure the circular gold-tone connectors on the bottom of the kettle and the center pin of the power base are completely dry. Moisture from refilling at the sink can prevent the electrical circuit from closing.
  • Check for Debris: Look for any tea leaves, mineral flakes, or lint that may have fallen into the center of the power base. Gently clean the area with a dry Q-tip if necessary.
  • Seating the Kettle: Make sure the kettle is sitting perfectly level on the 360° swivel base. If it is tilted slightly, the pins will not engage.

2. Verify the Power Source

  • Check the Outlet: Plug another small appliance (like a lamp or toaster) into the same outlet to ensure the outlet is providing power.
  • GFCIs and Breakers: If the tea maker was running and suddenly stopped, check if your kitchen's GFCI outlet has tripped or if a circuit breaker has flipped.
  • Avoid Extension Cords: We recommend plugging the tea maker directly into a wall outlet. Extension cords or power strips may not handle the high wattage required for the heating element, causing the unit to fail to turn on.

3. Perform a Safety Reset

The Smart Base has a built-in safety shut-off to prevent overheating.

  • The Cool-Down Period: If the unit was recently used without enough water, the boil-dry protection may have triggered. Unplug the base and let it sit for 15–20 minutes to allow the internal thermostat to reset.
  • The Power Cycle: Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Press and hold the center of the smart dial for 3 seconds to see if the LCD screen wakes up.

When to Contact Support

If you have confirmed the outlet is working, the connectors are dry/clean, and the unit has cooled down, but the screen is still blank:

  1. Check the power cord for any visible signs of fraying or damage.
  2. Do not attempt to unscrew the base or repair internal wiring yourself.
  3. Please contact us at support@sakiproducts.com with your order details so we can assist you with a replacement or technical support.
