For that signature thick, velvety foam that defines a perfect Turkish coffee, the ratio is everything. Because the SandBrew™ technology heats the coffee slowly, you have a bit more room to play with the richness.

The "Golden Ratio" for the SAKI Turkish Coffee Maker is:

The Rich Foam Ratio

  • 1:10 Ratio (by weight)
  • Per Cup: 1 heaping SAKI measuring spoon (approx. 7 grams) of coffee to 2.5 oz (70 ml) of water.

Specific Measurements by Batch Size

Why 7g/70ml is the Pro-Standard

  • Extraction: This ratio allows the SandBrew™ technology to extract the maximum flavor from the extra-fine grounds without making the coffee too bitter or watery.
  • Foam Density: At 7g per cup, there is enough soluble material to create a stable, thick foam cap that won't dissipate before you finish your drink.
  • Traditional Cup Size: A standard Turkish coffee cup (finjan) is almost exactly 70ml (approx. 2.4 oz), making this ratio the most accurate for "filling the cup."

Tip for your SAKI Machine:

Since you are using the Open Form pot, you can be very precise. If you have a kitchen scale, I recommend weighing the coffee (7g) and the water (70ml) directly in the cezve before placing it on the base. This "Zero Guesswork" approach perfectly aligns with the machine's precision sensors.
