If the Magnetic Infuser isn't snapping securely onto the lid of your SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro, it is usually due to a minor alignment issue or a physical barrier rather than a loss of magnetism.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check for Residue or Debris

The most common reason for a weak connection is a thin layer of tea oils or mineral buildup.

  • The Contact Points: Inspect both the magnet on the underside of the lid and the top rim of the stainless steel mesh filter.
  • The Fix: Wipe both surfaces with a damp cloth and a drop of dish soap to remove any sticky residue. Even a small piece of loose-leaf tea stuck to the magnet can prevent a secure "click."

2. Verify the Basket Alignment

The infuser is designed to fit perfectly into the center of the lid.

  • The "Click": Ensure you are pressing the basket directly against the center point. You should feel a distinct magnetic pull.
  • Deformation Check: Inspect the top rim of the mesh basket. If the basket has been dropped or stepped on, the rim might be slightly out of round. If the rim isn't perfectly circular, it won't seat flush against the magnetic base. You can usually gently press the rim back into a circle with your hands.

3. Inspect the Lid Knob/Mechanism

While the infuser is held by a magnet, ensure the lid assembly itself is correctly put together.

  • Check if the magnetic plate on the lid is loose or wobbly. It should be firmly attached to the lid structure.

If the Issue Persists

Magnetism in these units does not "wear out" under normal brewing temperatures, but physical damage or a manufacturing defect can occur.

If the filter continues to fall off or won't attach at all:

  1. Test without Tea: See if the basket holds while empty. If it does, you may be overfilling the basket, making it too heavy for the magnet to support when wet.
  2. Contact Support: If the magnet feels weak or has become detached from the lid, please contact us via support@sakiproducts.com.
