The Luna Electric Kettle Pro is designed to be a centerpiece in your kitchen. However, between kitchen grease and fingerprints, that sleek stainless steel finish can lose its luster over time.

Here is how to clean the outside of your kettle safely to keep it looking brand new.

What You Need

  • A soft microfiber cloth (This is the secret weapon against scratches).
  • Warm water.
  • Mild dish soap (Optional, for grease).

Method 1: Routine Maintenance (The "Quick Wipe")

Do this once a week to prevent dust and fingerprints from building up.

1. Unplug the kettle.

Safety first! Always unplug the base from the wall outlet and remove the kettle from the base before cleaning.

2. Dampen your cloth.

Wet your microfiber cloth with warm water and wring it out thoroughly. You want the cloth to be damp, not dripping wet.

3. Wipe with the grain.

Gently wipe down the exterior body of the kettle.

  • Pro Tip: If you look closely at the stainless steel, you will see faint lines (the grain). Wiping with these lines rather than against them helps hide streaks and keeps the finish looking smooth.

4. Dry immediately.

This is the most important step. Take a dry section of your cloth (or a fresh dry towel) and buff the kettle dry. If you let the water air-dry, it will leave behind spots or streaks.

Method 2: Removing Kitchen Grease

If your kettle sits near your stove, it might collect a thin layer of cooking oil or grease. Water alone won't cut it.

1. Create a soapy solution.

Add a tiny drop of mild dish soap to your damp cloth.

2. Spot clean.

Rub the greasy areas gently. Avoid the digital screen on the base if possible (use only water for the screen).

3. Rinse the cloth and wipe again.

Rinse the soap out of your cloth, wring it tight, and wipe the kettle again to remove any soapy residue.

4. Buff to a shine.

As always, dry it immediately with a soft towel.

Crucial Warnings (The "Don'ts")

❌ Never use abrasive scrubbers.

Avoid scouring pads, steel wool, or the rough side of a sponge. These will permanently scratch the stainless steel surface.

❌ Avoid harsh chemicals.

Do not use bleach, ammonia, or glass cleaners containing harsh solvents. These can discolor the protective coating on the steel or damage the plastic components.

❌ Never submerge the base.

The power base contains the electronics. To clean it, simply wipe it with a barely damp cloth and dry it instantly. Never run it under the tap.
