Mastering the strength of your tea with the SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro is simple because of the two-tier system. You are essentially brewing a tea concentrate in the top pot and diluting it with hot water from the bottom kettle.
Here is how to achieve the perfect balance for every cup:
1. The Golden Ratio for the Concentrate
To get the best results, you must first create a high-quality concentrate in the top teapot.
- Measurement: Use 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of loose-leaf tea for every 8 ounces (1 cup) of water added to the top teapot.
- Steeping: Once you pour the boiling water over the leaves, let it steep for 15–20 minutes. The Magnetic Infuser will hold the leaves in place, and the steam from the bottom kettle will keep the concentrate at the perfect temperature.
2. Serving Ratios (In the Cup)
When you are ready to serve, you customize the strength by how much concentrate you pour into the glass before topping it off with hot water from the bottom kettle.
3. Pro Tips
- The "Two-Step" Pour: Always pour the tea concentrate from the top pot first, then fill the rest of the glass with hot water from the bottom kettle. This ensures the tea mixes naturally and stays hot.
- Preventing Bitterness: Because the Magnetic Infuser is attached to the lid, the tea leaves will eventually sit above the water level as you pour out the concentrate. This stops the steeping process automatically, so your tea stays fresh for hours.
- Adjusting Presets: If you prefer a Strong tea, use the Anatolian Brew preset (highest heat). For a Light or Mild tea, the Istanbul or Ephesus presets provide a gentler extraction.
