Recently discovered a new soft scrambled egg recipe by Chef Marco Pierre White that I am obsessed with. However it requires cooking the eggs on the lowest stove setting possible, for about 30 mins for a serving or two (3 eggs), while stirring them slowly/constantly. They’re so good, and worth the time/effort. But since I’m not gonna spend 30 mins making eggs every morning before work, I’ve been making larger batches each week to have for the week, then just getting a serving of them up to temp every morning. This means it takes twice as long to cook them, if not more. I am also technically disabled, yet work on my feet all day for work, so standing around even more after work is not ideal some days. But also it would be nice to not have to babysit them the whole time, so I can do other things. Hence why I went searching for an automatic pot stirrer, and found this one,
My initial concern was whether it would actually scrape the bottom of the pot or not, and if that would be an issue for me and my eggs. It doesn’t fully scrape the bottom, but it didn’t end up being an issue for my eggs.!! They turned out perfectly! SO happy so far!
The device is not super loud, it sounds much louder in my video clip than IRL. My Apple Watch only clocked about 62 decibels when standing next to it. And price wise, this is the most affordable option I’ve seen on the market, aside from the super cheap vibrating pot robot thingies that look like they tip over all the time.
