2. Rinse the kettle.

Take the kettle to the sink and give the interior a gentle rinse with cool water to remove any dust from shipping.

3. Perform a "Cleanse Cycle."

• Fill the kettle with fresh water up to the "MAX" line.
• Place the kettle on the power base.
• Set the temperature to 212°F (Boil) and let it finish the cycle.
