To keep the premium finish of your SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro looking brand new you must avoid abrasive materials that can leave permanent micro-scratches.

Cleaning the Matte and Colored Finishes

The goal is to remove fingerprints and tea residue without creating "shiny spots" or scratches.

  1. Use a Dedicated Microfiber Cloth: Matte finishes are sensitive to the tiny fibers in paper towels or old rags, which can act like sandpaper. Use a clean, plush microfiber cloth for both washing and drying.
  2. Mild Soap Only: Mix a few drops of clear, mild dish soap in a bowl of warm water. Dip the cloth, wring it out until it is just damp, and wipe the exterior gently.
  3. The "No-Polish" Rule: Never use stainless steel polishes, waxes, or aerosol sprays (like those used for fridges). These products are designed to add shine; on a matte finish, they will create uneven, greasy-looking patches that are very difficult to remove.
  4. Immediate Drying: Matte surfaces can show water spots more easily than shiny ones. Always follow your damp wipe with a completely dry microfiber cloth to buff the surface back to its original flat finish.

What to Avoid (The "Never" List)

  • Avoid "Magic Erasers": While they seem gentle, these are actually melamine foam and act as an ultra-fine abrasive. They will buff away the matte texture and leave a permanent shiny patch.
  • No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid window cleaners, bleach, or ammonia. These can react with the coating and cause discoloration.
  • Watch the Rings: When cleaning or handling the pots, try to avoid wearing rings or jewelry that can "clink" against the finish, as the metal-on-metal contact can chip the color coating.
  • The Smart Base Screen: Treat the LCD screen like a smartphone. Only use a dry microfiber cloth. If the dial feels sticky, a very slightly damp Q-tip can be used around the edges.
