The SAKI Turkish Tea Maker Pro is engineered with multiple layers of safety to protect both the user and the longevity of the appliance. The Smart Base constantly monitors the state of the kettle to prevent common kitchen accidents.

1. Boil-Dry Protection

This is the most critical safety feature of the device. It prevents the heating element from burning out or causing a fire hazard if the kettle is accidentally turned on without water.

• How it works: Internal sensors detect a rapid, abnormal rise in the temperature of the stainless steel base that only occurs when no water is present to absorb the heat.
• The Response: The Smart Base will immediately cut power to the heating element and display a "No Water" alert on the LCD screen.
• Recovery: If this triggers, unplug the unit and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before refilling. This allows the sensors to reset and prevents "thermal shock" to the steel.

2. Auto-Shutoff

The Auto-Shutoff feature ensures the tea maker does not run indefinitely, saving energy and providing peace of mind.

• Cycle Completion: The unit automatically stops the high-power heating cycle once your water reaches the target preset temperature.
• Idle Timeout: If the "Temperature Hold" timer (which you can set for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes) expires and no further buttons are pressed, the unit will power down completely.
• Lift-Off Protection: If you remove the bottom kettle from the power base during a heating cycle, the base recognizes the disconnection and stops the flow of electricity to the contact pins.

3. Overheat Protection

Beyond standard boiling, the Pro model monitors for electrical surges or internal component overheating. If the internal circuitry reaches an unsafe temperature due to poor ventilation or prolonged use in high-heat environments, the system will shut down and may display an "E1" error code.
