On the SAKI Turkish Tea Maker, the digital screen is designed to protect the internal heating elements by alerting you to potential issues. If you see an error code, the unit will typically stop heating as a safety precaution.

"No Water" Error

This is the most common alert and is triggered by the Boil-Dry Protection sensor.

  • What it means: The sensors have detected that there is either no water or insufficient water in the bottom kettle to safely continue heating.
  • The Cause: You may have forgotten to refill the kettle after a long "Temperature Hold" session, or the water level is below the minimum required line.
  • The Solution: 1. Turn off the unit and unplug it.
  1. Allow the kettle to cool down for about 5–10 minutes.
  2. Refill the bottom kettle with fresh water (ensuring it is above the minimum mark).
  3. Plug it back in and restart your brewing cycle.

"E1" Error Code

The E1 code typically refers to a sensor or communication error within the Smart Base.

  • What it means: This usually indicates an Open Circuit in the temperature sensor, meaning the base cannot accurately read the heat level of the kettle.
  • Common Causes:
    • Moisture: Water may have splashed onto the electrical pins at the bottom of the kettle or onto the center connector of the power base.
    • Connection Issue: The kettle isn't sitting perfectly flush on the 360° swivel base.
  • The Solution:
    1. Unplug the unit immediately.
    2. Check the bottom of the kettle and the power base for any dampness. Wipe them completely dry with a clean cloth.
    3. Ensure there are no mineral deposits or debris on the connectors.
    4. Place the kettle back on the base and plug it in. If the code persists, the internal sensor may require professional support.

Preventing Error Codes

To keep your tea maker running smoothly:

  • Always check the water level before starting a cycle.
  • Keep the base dry. When refilling the kettle at the sink, ensure the bottom is dry before placing it back on the Smart Base.
  • Regular Descaling. Heavy mineral buildup can sometimes interfere with the temperature sensors, leading to false "E1" or heating errors.

If the code still appears after these steps, it may indicate a technical component issue that requires assistance.

Please contact us via support@sakiproducts.com with the following information:

  • Your Order Number.
  • The specific Error Code displayed on your screen.
  • A brief description of when the error occurs (e.g., "immediately after plugging in" or "after 5 minutes of heating").

Safety Warning

Never attempt to disassemble the Smart Base or the kettle yourself. Doing so can be dangerous and will void your product warranty. If the error code is accompanied by any unusual sounds or smells, unplug the unit immediately.
