Jalapeno is a chili pepper originated in Mexico. It is hot but not among the hottest peppers in the world. Its spiciness level is mild to moderate according to the Scoville scale which measures the pungency of chili peppers. So, it has some “heat” that is comfortably edible thus making it the favorite pepper all over the world to be used in the recipes.
