Buffalo Chicken Sliders are very easy to prepare and add some novelty to the family dinner. Children love them a lot and enjoy eating them. Marinating time in this recipe is not a concern because it is only 30 minutes, much less than usual marinating times. Moreover, the air fryer will cook the chicken breast pieces very quickly and thus saving additional time. Hope you will enjoy preparing this recipe and eating it with your loved ones!
2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon pickle juice
1½ cups + 1 teaspoon buffalo sauce, needed separately
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil spray
8 slider buns, split
8 pickle slices or spinach
Blue cheese dressing
Wrap the chicken breasts in cling film and place them on a chopping board.
Gently hit the chicken breasts until they are flat using a meat tenderizer or rolling pin.
Cut the chicken breasts into ½-inch thick pieces and place them in a bowl.
Add buttermilk, pickle juice, and 1 teaspoon of buffalo sauce to the bowl, mix them very well and cover the bowl with cling film.
Let the chicken breasts sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to get marinated.
After marinated, remove the chicken breasts from the refrigerator.
Preheat the air fryer by selecting the “Chicken” function and adjusting the timer to 3 minutes. Once you press the “Start/Pause” button, it will begin warming up.
Mix flour, baking powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper in a bowl, pour the mixture over the chicken breasts and mix them very well.
Put the chicken breasts into air fryer rotating basket (or into standard basket if you don't have a rotating one. But in this case you should stir the chicken breasts halfway through cooking.).
Mist the chicken breasts with olive oil spray.
Open the air fryer, place the oil drip tray at the bottom and set the rotating basket.
Adjust the timer to 10 minutes. Once you press the “Start/Pause” button, it will begin cooking. The chicken breasts should be golden brown when cooked.
Open the air fryer, remove the basket from the air fryer and transfer the chicken breasts into a bowl.
Pour the remaining buffalo sauce in a bowl and coat the cooked chicken breasts with buffalo sauce.
Add chicken breasts in each slider bun, top with a pickle slice and some blue cheese dressing.
Serve immediately and enjoy!.
